VISION Learning Systems Architecture is designed to repurpose and share
chains of Independent Learning Objects optimized for delivery in the various
learning venues:
- Print
- Classroom
- Web-based
- PDA
|
 |
When you initially enter your content into VISION, it is securely
stored in a relational database, called the VISION Knowledge Repository. All content is stored in a common data
format that can be efficiently translated, via templates, for delivery to the various learning venues.
In this way, your base content is not influenced by your eventual delivery choices. You are free to collect and
store content once, and later deliver it in many different ways.
When a series of Independent Learning Objects is compiled from
the VISION Knowledge Repository---
either for a pre-defined learning program or to satisfy a just-in-time performance support query---
VISION passes the stored content through its content generator.
The content generator’s role is to translate your content from its stored format into a format
suitable for the targeted learning venue: Print, Classroom, Web-based, or PDA.
VISION comes pre-packaged with many ready-to-use delivery templates for all the major learning
venues. As you desire, you may also modify any of the templates to meet your needs, or you can
create a new template.
|
 |
Many organizations find the supplied templates to be
all they ever need:
- Several print formats are available for self-paced text learning and reference.
- For classroom mode, VISION provides templates for Instructor’s Guides,
- Student Guides, and the related presentation materials.
- For web-based delivery, VISION utilizes standard HTML outputs suitable
- without client-side plug-ins for all commonly used web browsers.
- PDA-based delivery is also supported for on-line testing and surveys.
- New templates and support for new venues are being added continuously.
|
With its unique set of delivery templates, and the flexibility to
customize or create a new template from scratch, VISION Learning Systems Architecture can automatically deliver
content to your learners in any format or venue you prefer. Want to know more?
